Borys* returned to his native village in Vinnytsia Region last year. Alas, this was not an ordinary return to his roots, as he had to flee from conflict in Luhansk Region where he had lived for almost 40 years.

Displaced persons on hemodialysis are visited by IOM partner NGO in Dnipropetrovsk (Eastern Ukraine). As people left their homes with minimal belongings, IOM supported them with warm blankets and robes (pictured below)

Only weeks after she had to flee from Crimea, Niyara* gave birth to her ninth child. The boy was born in the Western-Ukraine city of Vinnytsia in late July, on the eve of the Muslim holiday of Uraza-Bayram (Eid al-Fitr).
